SKG wins bid to furnish new Credit Human headquarters

Contract is a signature win for the dealership with two years in the market

(SAN ANTONIO, October 17, 2019) — SKG, the largest exclusive Knoll dealer in south and central Texas won the contract to provide office furniture and workspace solutions for the new Credit Human corporate headquarters complex at 1703 N. Broadway. The financial institution picked SKG over five other dealers based on how its solutions met the organization’s goals.

Community leaders have lauded Credit Human’s sustainable approach to the design and construction of the 12-story, 200,000-square-foot building. CEO Steve Hennigan insisted the building design integrate multiple solutions to maximize sustainability, resulting in increased energy efficiency, reduced water demand and reduced carbon production. 

SKG incorporated that commitment to sustainable materials and manufacturing into its recommendations for furniture solutions for more than 600 Credit Human employees who will work in the building.

“It is very exciting for us to be part of such a forward-thinking project,” said SKG co-founder and President Diana Keller, who leads SKG’s San Antonio office. “This is one of the signature developments for San Antonio and we couldn’t be prouder to be a contributor.” 

Credit Human is implementing an open office plan. There will be no private offices, even for the CEO. He will have a workstation like everyone else, fostering a more collaborative environment. SKG is providing all the workstations, furniture for meeting spaces, collaboration spaces, and ancillary pieces.

The project is currently under construction on the eastern border of the Pearl complex. Kirksey Architecture is the project architect along with Don B. McDonald Architect. Furniture installation is slated to start in March 2020 with the building opening later that year.
