SJVN Green Energy Opens Bidding for 700 MW Solar Power Project; Industry Leaders in India Unite for Sustainable Progress and More...

SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL), a subsidiary of SJVN LIMITED , has released a tender notice for the development of a 700 MW (AC) solar power project across seven plots in Khavda, Gujarat. The project is divided into two phases: GUVNL Phase XXI with a 500 MW capacity at GIPCL Renewable Energy Park, and GUVNL Phase XXIII with a 200 MW capacity at GSECL Renewable Energy Park. The scope includes design, engineering, supply, erection, testing, commissioning, and comprehensive operation & maintenance (O&M) for three years.


In a significant step toward advancing India’s LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment) Mission and the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), key industry leaders and sustainability experts gathered for the Curtain Raiser to the Summit on Sustainability. Held on October 18, 2024, at Hotel Kohinoor Continental, Mumbai, the event saw participation from organizations including IIT Madras, IGBC Mumbai Chapter, Material Recycling Association of India (MRAI), Indian Pollution Control Association (IPCA), and AND Sustainability.


In a significant development, IndiGrid 2 Limited, KINTECH SYNERGY PRIVATE LIMITED , and H.G. Infra Engineering Limited have secured contracts in NVVN’s recent auction for standalone battery energy storage systems (BESS) with Viability Gap Funding (VGF) support. The auction was for a total capacity of 500 MW/1000 MWh, and it represents NVVN’s first standalone BESS tender with VGF assistance.


At the Renewable Energy India (REI) 2024 in Greater Noida, Powernsun SEA and India and Solplanet introduced its newest Solplanet 350 kW string inverter ASW350K-HT, highlighting its high efficiency, intelligent features, and reliability tailored for large-scale solar project installations.


In a significant step towards advancing the country’s climate action goals, the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) has issued a list of approved sectors under the Central Government’s Carbon Capture and Trading System (CCTS). The newly approved sectors include key industries such as energy, manufacturing, agriculture, waste management, and transport, all critical in reducing carbon emissions and fostering sustainable development.
