For HKC Security, its customer-centric values are the foundations on which the company is built.
These principles can take years to implement into the everyday culture of the workforce and can be utilised to help standout in a competitive market.??
The company’s philosophy encourages innovation and reliability, giving employees a structure to build their own values around.
Navigating digital security for modern travellers
Matthew Newton , Director of Crisis Response at Valkyrie (GB) Limited explores some of the evolving threats impacting travellers and provides actionable steps to ensure a safe and enjoyable travel experience.
Travel is an enriching experience that broadens horizons, fosters cultural awareness, and encourages personal growth.
It also builds relationships and facilitates knowledge sharing, especially in business contexts.
However, these benefits come with risks. Travel exposes individuals to unfamiliar environments with potential dangers such as political unrest, crime, health concerns and environmental incidents.??
Video Analytics alone for Intruder Detection???
Can we truly rely solely on video analytics to protect our properties and assets? Think again, says Gary Williams , GJD Global Applications Director.
With burglary and vandalism rates skyrocketing in recent years, can we truly rely solely on video analytics to protect our properties and assets?
Despite the hype surrounding advanced video analytic technologies, each promising significant improvements, we often still fall short in safeguarding our site and assets.??
The question remains: Is video analytics alone enough for comprehensive security? Experience time and time again suggests otherwise.
A target rich environment
Record UK ’s Security Entrance Control Specialist, Stephen Goodridge and former NaCTSO member, ASC Director and Director of Covenant and Revuit, Lee Doddridge LCGI/GCGI/MASC/RISC look at the security threats faced by the leisure centres and gyms.
Evaluating threats based on historical data, crime reports, and experience helps determine their legitimacy and prioritise security measures.??
The most common threat to any leisure centre is ‘opportunist crime’.
In addition, leisure centres and gyms by their very nature attract a lot of younger or vulnerable people so ‘safeguarding’ is an essential aspect of the overall security architecture.?

Product Focus: Kingdom Systems unveils battery-powered CCTV towers
Kingdom Systems , part of Kingdom Services Group, has launched its new React CCTV Towers across the UK, in order to tackle construction site theft.
It is the latest in?the?Kingdom Systems product range, powered by solar energy,?which?can be used as a standalone unit or as part of a full site solution alongside other security products.?
Some?construction sites?don’t?have mains power, often due to the location or the?temporary nature of the site and that means site managers are often weighing up ensuring a safe and secure site and the inflexibility and costs associated with bigger, mains powered surveillance systems if the site is only erected for a few weeks, the company says.
“The Kingdom React CCTV Tower offers flexibility for construction site managers who want maximum protection, however brief a timescale,” said Paul Worsley, Senior Operating Office, Kingdom Systems.
