London, UK, 29th July 2024 - The National Cyber Awards, a prestigious event recognising outstanding contributions and achievements in cybersecurity, is proud to announce its sixth annual ceremony taking place in London on 23rd of September 2024, the Monday evening preceding the annual International Cyber Expo . Established as a hallmark of excellence in the industry, the awards highlight innovation, resilience, and dedication in safeguarding our digital landscape.
The new UK government has recognised the importance of the evolving cyber threat landscape facing organisations including recent high-profile cyber-attacks affecting the NHS and the Ministry of Defence. A new Cyber Security and Resilience Bill will focus on critical infrastructure providers and introduce mandatory ransomware reporting, to further protect infrastructure and supply chains and understand scales of threats. The proposed legislation will also give new powers to regulators and expand the scope of existing regulations.
Established as a hallmark of excellence in the industry, the National Cyber Awards is designed to encourage the safeguarding the digital landscape as well as the continuous improvement and the adoption of best practices to ensure cybersecurity is prioritised across the globe.
