Six Words to Shape Your Week: Go Hemingway style

Six Words to Shape Your Week: Go Hemingway style

Ernest Hemingway—a man of adventure, wit, and the occasional grumble about deadlines—once delivered the shortest, most emotional story ever: “For sale: baby shoes, never worn.” Six words. Just six. And yet they leave you breathless.

Hemingway understood something we often forget: brevity forces clarity. There’s no room for fluff. Just truth.

Now, picture this: it’s Monday. You are about to snooze off but your brain is running. A new week stretches ahead, begging you to overthink it. Don’t. Take a cue from Hemingway.

Here’s the challenge: Write your week in six words.

  • What do you want to achieve?
  • How do you want to feel?
  • Who do you want to be?

Here's an example:

"Do the work. Beers on Friday."

What’s your six-word plan? Don’t leave it hanging—hit reply or post it somewhere visible to keep it top of mind.

Remember, simplicity doesn’t mean small.

Six words can be your compass for a week that’s wildly productive… or at least wildly interesting.

Do you know what's even more interesting? Explain your line of business in six words. Or, not?!

Have a good one. Sleep well.
