Here are the rest of the three ways to close clients:

4. Take Advantage of Social Media Ads

Ads on social media can be a very cost-effective way to get in front of exactly the right people, which is why it is vital that you know who those people are.

The clearer you are of your niche and your message, the more likely the ads will be effective for you.

Facebook, Instagram and YouTube advertising are the most popular and efficient ways of advertising on social media.

If you want to get clients faster, social media advertising is the best option available. You’ll skip the long process of the organic social media prospecting outlined previously.

You do not have to pay a significant amount of money to advertise on social media, especially on these three platforms mentioned above.

It cost far less to advertise online than it is in the traditional media. As shown below, the total cost to reach 2000 audience is $900 for traditional marketing, varying from Broadcast, News Paper, Magazines and Direct Mail. While the cost to reach semilar number of people via digital means is $75, according to Hubspot.

Let’s take Facebook advertising for example; a typical ‘cost per click’ (what you pay for someone to click your link), is $1.7, while cost per impression (for someone to see the post), is less than a dollar. Remember the more people that see your message, the greater your chances of closing some as clients.

Facebook gives users an incredible amount of data, and the options to super target your desired audience is vast.

Some of the areas you can target are:

-      Demographic

-      Qualification

-      Income

-      Who they follow both online and offline,

-      Books they read

-      TV shows they watch

-      Professional bodies they belong to

-      etc

5. Content Marketing

Content marketing involve sharing your expertise in various ways to serve your audience. The digital space provides a variety of options for you to share your knowledge, insights and opinion about your industry to help your followers get educate and or perhaps get help to manage their lives.

For instance, blogging, using podcasts, producing videos for YouTube or post directly to Social Media, posting long copies on Social Media among others. The content can generate potential clients’ awareness about you and your business. It also builds authority about you as the expert in your industry and offer hope, help and reassurance to people who need it. In some instances, it could even offer solutions that people are actively looking for.

There are many benefits to consistently produce content, and here are a few:

-      Increases your visibility: Once people read your content and are convinced about the value of what you share, you promote the “KLT” (know, like and trust’ factor). The main way people get to know about you in the online space is through the content you share. Sharing useful content that is relevant to your ideal clients makes them feel a connection to you and makes you the first choice when they are looking to access help. Why?, because people buy from or use the services of people they know, like and trust.

-      It gives you consistent, quality content to share on your social media. As outline earlier, Social Media is one of the most important medium of communication between you and your potential clients, so the content you share matter.

-      When posting content about your industry, you by default use keywords that people type in search engines in search of solutions for their needs. These keywords on your website will increase your SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) so Google understands what you do and then show you in search results. This is a free advertisement as Google will promote your website by default.

6. Email marketing

Email marketing is where most therapists and coaches fall short the most in marketing their businesses. You probably have received loads of emails from companies trying to sell you products or service, or trying to keep you updated about news in their industry. Love or hate it, Email Marketing is one of the greatest online marketing options with 44% of Return On Investment (ROI).

So, what is Email Marketing? It is a form of marketing where people choose to receive a regular email from you, usually once a week or more frequently, depending on…, because it contains information about something that is of interest to them.

How do you get someone’s email address? You can request email address when they become your customer, or by offering them a free gift in exchange. This is called a 'Lead Magnet' – which is really useful and offers a quick win for the reader. This could be a PDF checklist, eBook, cheatsheet, short training, a guide, simple challenge, video series, infographics, among others.

Getting potential clients email address is a great way to keep in touch with them, by send them regular emails, with lots of tips, ideas and value and let them know that you are available to help them. This is also an opportunity to share your expertise and promote your business solution once a month.
