About the training courses

Getting Started with OneStream + OneStream Administration

Getting Started with OneStream is the beginning of OneStream learning for all who are new to OneStream. In this course, learners build a foundation with the basic concepts of a OneStream application. This course introduces how to:

• Navigate an application;
• The common business processes OneStream supports;
• Concepts of metadata components and dimensions, cubes, and workflows;
• Concludes with an overview of the powerful reporting options available within OneStream.

Using an existing application, OneStream Administration will help develop administrator competencies for modifying core platform artifacts (such as dimensionality, workflow, data sources, and transformation rules) and troubleshooting skills for a variety of common issues.

The course content has been created assuming that it will be used by a OneStream administrator as a supplemental resource to any design documentation provided by a consultant. Content has avoided, where possible, a Planning or Consolidation focus as these topics will be dealt with in other courses and learning resources.

Building Basic Dashboards

In this two-day, live course learners gain the hands-on skills needed to build basic Dashboards in OneStream. Topics include Dashboard Maintenance Units, Data Adapters, Dashboard Components and layouts, embedding Dashboards, and more.

Prerequisites:? Prior to attending this course, learners should complete the following courses, or possess equivalent knowledge:?

• Getting Started with OneStream? AND
• Building Basic Reports OR
• Application Build for Administrators AND
• Building Basic Reports OR
• Implementing OneStream AND
• Building Basic Reports

In addition to the course prerequisites above, all attendees must be proficient with concepts such as: navigating OneStream, Cube Views, Dimensionality, and basic Member Filters and Expansions. This course does not review content from other classes. Other class content is not reviewed in this course.

Building Basic Reports

This 3-day course is intended for all users of OneStream responsible for creating or working with reports. This course provides a good overview of the basic concepts of creating a report. It introduces the learner to use cases for reporting in OneStream, connecting reports to application design, building a simple Cube, using the Member Filter Builder, Cube View Performance, formatting, calculations, Parameters, Parameter Types, Report books, and Quick Views.

Building Basic Reports includes a review of the essential reporting structures covered during the Application Build for Administrators course, before building upon them with greater detail and further features. The Building Basic Reports course is comprised of instructor-led content, demonstrations, quizzes and plenty of hands-on lab exercises.

Course Prerequisite: Before attending OneStream Essential Series: Building Basic Reports, OneStream has created a free on-demand interactive course for you to prepare called Getting Started with OneStream. You should complete this 8-10 hour online training before attending OneStream Essential Series: Building Basic Reports. Completion of Getting Started With OneStream or attendance of an Application Build for Administrators class is required as this course assumes that you have a working knowledge of OneStream. ?
