The running/racing industry is back on an upswing in the volume of registrations. This, after the down years and "virtual" races of Covid. Remember Covid?
Some events are up 20 per cent.
The Vancouver Sun Run on Sunday, April 21 had 45,000 registrations, with 35,000 starters and finishers. Some people, I suppose, preferred to opt out even though race conditions were perfect.
The TC10K in Victoria, BC had an increase to 8500.

Note Turner Wiley is running the Bloomsday 12K in Spokane, WA. There may be up to 70,000 people there.

The national 10K championships are taking place in Ottawa on the final weekend of May — there should be big crowds and fast times... stay tuned.
