The Six-Planet Solar System

Astronomers recently discovered a new solar system in the Milky Way Galaxy. 6 planets revolve around the star of that solar system. These planets move in a certain rhythm, almost mathematically. The geometric rhythm in which the planets revolve around the star, scientists have termed 'orbital resonance'. According to astronomers, this is a rare discovery. The article about this new solar system was published in the world-renowned journal Nature on Wednesday, November 29.

The book name of this solar system is 'HD 110067', located 100 light years away from Earth. The solar system was discovered using data from the US space agency NASA's Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TES) and the European Space Agency's Characterizing Exoplanet Satellite (CHOPS).

According to astronomers, there may be more planets in this solar system. 6 have been found. The planets are about two to three times larger than Earth. The density is also very high. The density of these planets is close to that of our solar system's giant planet Jupiter. They revolve around their sun once in 9 to 54 days. However, the planets rotate according to certain geometrical rhythms. Such a rhythm has not been seen in much of the solar system.

"Maybe only one percent of the solar system in the entire universe has such resonances left." -Raphael Luke, Astronomer, University of Chicago

In this case, the closest planet to the star, i.e. the first planet orbits three times and the second orbits twice. This is called 3/2 resonance. This rhythm is observed for the four planets closest to the star. And while the third planet orbits six times, the fourth orbits only once. Meanwhile, when the fifth planet rotates four times, the sixth planet rotates three times, which scientists call 4/3 resonance. Thus the process continues step by step.

As mentioned earlier, the planets orbit very close to their sun. So the year of the planets is completed in a maximum of 54 days. This distance is less than the distance from the Sun to Venus. Because of this, the temperature of the planets is very high. So there is very little chance of life there.

Scientists believe that the planets are gaseous but have a rocky core. Maybe its atmosphere is covered with hydrogen. But more observations are needed to be sure if there is any gas in the atmosphere or if there is metal in its core.

Scientists believe that this is how all the solar systems in the universe began. Even our solar system. But later it was no longer like that. It has changed over time and reached its present state.

In this regard, Raphael Luke, an astronomer at the University of Chicago, said, "Maybe only one percent of the solar system has such resonance in the entire universe." If they can be found, the initial conditions of any solar system or planetary system will be known because only these solar systems have remained unchanged.
