SIX OFFERS SECURED FOR WATERSPORTS SPECIALIST

Knightsbridge facilitated the sale of Undersea Adventures Ltd, which trades as Watersports Warehouse (WW), in a deal overseen by Senior Commercial Executive Ben Hunt, who describes the company as “a popular and premier online stockist of watersports products”.

Established in Cornwall in 1989, WW has grown to become one of the UK’s largest online retailers, selling a wide range of leading-brand products for swimming, surfing, bodyboarding, paddle boarding, windsurfing, sailing, scuba diving, snorkelling, and more.

WW has an excellent online presence, having received thousands of 5-star reviews for its ‘outstanding’ service and expertise. Proud of its success over the course of 35 years, owner Michael George decided to hang up his flippers and call it a day…and call Knightsbridge!

Ben and the team worked hard to research a range of potential buyers, bringing forward 62 interested parties, conducting 12 meetings - and tabling an eye-watering 6 offers! Knightsbridge created competition amongst the potential buyers, which led to very appealing deals for Michael to choose from.

Headed by Angus Davidson, the successful bid was submitted by Moxie Group, “an e-commerce specialist, actively acquiring in this space”, explained Ben. The Nottinghamshire-based firm plans to “integrate the company into the overall group”.

Ben concluded: “The relationship from both sides was very good. We exceeded expectations and ultimately achieved our goal, which was to help facilitate Michael’s retirement. In doing so, WW expands with its future secured, and Moxie Group boosts its overall position.”
