A great leader acts as the catalyst that makes all things work together. I’ve been reading articles about leadership. This one tackles six leadership skills to help your business grow. Here are some snippets from it.
As your business starts to grow you may need to change your way of working. You need to lead the company rather than manage it. Strong leadership skills can help you to ensure that your whole team buys into your growth plan and move you towards achieving success.
? Vision
Leaders need to be able to create a realistic, convincing and attractive depiction of where the business should be going.
? Communication
As a leader, you need to be able to communicate internally within the organisation and also with your stakeholders. Communication is about listening, as well as talking to others.
? Motivation
Leaders need to be able to motivate and inspire the whole organisation.
? People Skills
As your business grows you need to be able to step away and let your team take responsibility. As part of this process remember to always listen to your team, be flexible in your approach and offer support as needed.
? Integrity
You are leading the organisation and everyone will follow your lead. If you make honest and ethical behaviour your key value then your team will follow suit.
? Responsibility
If a problem arises your team will come to you, and you need to be able to solve and support them as required.
