Sitting in the Guest Chair

Sitting in the Guest Chair

I love hosting More than a Few Words . I get to meet so many interesting people, and learn from all of them.? But sometimes, it is just fun to sit in the guest chair and let someone else ask the questions.

As a member of the Podmatch community, I have a chance to do that quite often. Many of the episodes are now on YouTube, so I thought it would be fun to share a collection of some of my favorite conversations. When you are done checking out these shows, look for more great episodes, from these hosts.

? Leah Rae Getts - Business Growth Trailblazers Podcast

We chatted about the three simple questions that you must answer at the beginning of every marketing campaign:

  • Who is Your customer?
  • Who is your competitor?
  • What do you want to accomplish?

The questions seem simple, but the answers are complex.? If you get the details right, you have a campaign that drives results.

Amy Singleton, Queens Lead Podcast

We talked about the early days of podcasting and how much things have changed since I started in 2010.? Then we pivoted to talk about planning your exit strategy the day you start your business.

Even if that seems like a long way off, that mindset lets you create a more profitable business today, and a company someone will want to buy down the road.?

  • Create standard systems and process
  • Build a model that can run without you
  • Develop reoccurring revenue streams to keep clients connected?

H. Jackson Calame , Vision Pros Podcast

Jackson and I talked about creativity, how to bring it into your business.? I started with? few stories that illustrate how creativity is usually drummed out of individuals.? Experiences teaches us not to be creative, not to try new materials, or share new ideas.? This is so unfortunate, because now, more than ever we need creative ideas and out of the box solutions.

We need to rediscover our inner child by:

  • Trying new things, new foods, new experiences.
  • Embracing failure, seeing it as a chance to learn something new.
  • And supporting others, cultivating their creative experiences.
