Last week, we introduced our new coffees from?the Sitios of Sul de Minas, Brazil. Next to single Sitio lots, there are also two blends on their way to Jonker & Schut, The Netherlands.

Introducing, the Sitio blends— A sitio refers to a small piece of land, usually between 1 and 5 hectares, that is owned and operated by a single family or a small group of farmers. These small plots of land are often located in mountainous areas with favorable climates and soil conditions for growing high-quality coffee.

The traceability of Sitios

All blend components of the Sitio blends are purchased directly from growers committed to quality and willing to provide detailed information about their sitios, harvesting methods, drying techniques, and other relevant information about their coffee. The blend components of the Sitio blends are fully traceable to the farm level. For more information on the Sitio blends, please see below:

Sitio Blend Brazil NY2 16+

This 85+ natural (PBO230004-01) brings you notes of milk chocolate, hazelnut, toffee, and tobacco. The acidity is sweet, the mouthfeel is creamy, and the coffee has a medium aftertaste.

Sitio Blend Brazil Peaberry NY2

This 85+ scoring natural Peaberry lot (PBO230001-01) brings you notes of cocoa, hazelnut, gingerbread, and brown sugar. The coffee is high in sweetness and has a velvety mouthfeel.
