Lets talk about a question I get asked all the time about how to increase conversions on your website
As an agency owner I see posts all the time for someone who wants a designer or a developer to help increase the conversions. They want their site to get more leads, sell more stuff. The problem there is that conversions is not a result always of bad design or bad development
What a website says is as much or more important than what a website looks like, or how it performs. People buy or engage with your brand when they feel that you understand them, you understand the depth of the problem and the pain that they're in, and you can explain how what you do is the solution. A website looking amazing, running fast, completely mobile responsive without effective copy that emotionally connects
?When approached by a potential client we always tell people, copy first, copy first, copy first yet a lot of clients refuse. We've done numerous five figure websites that make our clients zero money because they refused to work with a writer to dial in that emotional component that's going to be the determining factor whether someone clicks yes or not.

If you're looking to clarify your messaging
In summary: if your website is not converting, don't bring in a designer. Don't bring in a developer. Start with your writers. Get your messaging dialed in. And then, and only then, do you bring in a designer whose job it is, is to support and boost what the website says. You got any questions or feedback? Please leave a comment below.
