Sisk monthly: September 2023
Graduate Induction Week 2023
In early September, we welcomed 48 new graduates into the business during our 2023 Graduate Induction Week. This included time spent at Royal Holloway University and at our site at Wembley, plus some fantastic social events. Activities included a site tour around our Wembley Park NE02/NE03 site, and fantastic talks from all parts of the Sisk business, from Engineering to Safety, Digital Project Delivery to Health & Wellbeing.
We're delighted to have all these outstanding graduates as part of the Sisk team!

WorkSkills Ireland 2023
September saw WorldSkills Ireland 2023 take place over three days. This event is designed as an inspiration for young people as they look to develop their careers. We were delighted at the numbers of young people who attended our stand to find out more about the many possibilities around a career in construction.
It was an action-packed event, with some of our apprentices participating in the Joinery/Cabinetmaking competition and there was a visit to our stand from Minister for Education, Simon Harris .

Royal Academy of Arts event a success
We hosted our annual event at the amazing Royal Academy of Arts in Piccadilly, London, last week. The theme this year was ‘Raising the construction workforce of the future’. Hosted by Sisk’s Alan Rodger , we ran a really interesting discussion with a panel of experts including K D Adamson , Kate Bellingham and Steven Bartlett - the latter currently one of the investors on TV's Dragons' Den - and our own Nidaa Alazmeh .
The event was a real success and we’d like to extend our thanks to everyone involved in organising and carrying out the event on the night.

Project Focus: The Residence Coopers Cross
We are delighted to have recently completed The Residence Coopers Cross, a six-acre mixed-use development in Dublin’s Docklands. Part of a large regeneration project, the scheme included hundreds of rental apartments, amenities and retail space, together with a new public park.
Our team and supply chain did an amazing job throughout this project and it's great to see the final result.

Video of the month: Time lapse of the Aviva Stadium construction
The Rugby World Cup is in full swing, so we've decided to go back in time to show you the time lapse footage of our Aviva Stadium project that was completed in 2010. It still remains one of our most iconic construction projects and it was award winning too, achieving the awards for the 2010 'Irish Concrete Society Awards - Building Category' and the 'Overall Winner 2011: British Construction Industry Award (BCIA) - Best International Project'.
