Sisk monthly: Review of September 2024
Here are some of the key stories from across Sisk that happened during September.
Supporting young people in developing careers at WorldSkills Ireland
Sisk both exhibited and were a proud sponsor of WorldSkills Ireland 2024 in Dublin. The event offers thousands of second level students the opportunity to explore a wide range of construction career and study options.
During the event we were delighted to be visited by Minister for Further and Higher Education, Patrick O'Donovan, who visited our stand and had a good chat to the Sisk team.
Congratulations also to Darragh Brett, our second-year carpentry and joinery apprentice who was the winner in the Joinery competition at the exhibition!
Many thanks to the whole team who helped the Sisk effort at WorldSkills Ireland 2024.

Sisk Silver Lining at Royal Docks
At Sisk we are really proud to be playing our part transforming a historic 60-acre site at Silvertown, London, in the heart of the Royal Docks as it reached another milestone in September. It was confirmed that the structure of a building containing the first new homes on the site had been completed. The six-storey building will provide 106 new affordable homes and remains on track for delivery by Autumn 2025.
Ger Hayes, Managing Director, UK South, Sisk, commented: "Sisk is thrilled to reach this major milestone at Plot 6, Silvertown. Collaboration has been key in our delivery to date and the project has been significantly supported by Modern Methods of Construction (MMC). We are excited to continue with the next phase of the project working with Lendlease and our local supply chain partners.”
