Sir David Attenborough Exposes the Devastating Impact of Food Waste on our Environment.

It's no secret that food waste has a tremendous impact on our environment, and now the legendary Sir David Attenborough has narrated a powerful video along with The Earthshot Prize to expose the full extent of its effects. The video takes viewers through the life cycle of a grape from Chile to the Netherlands. Every step of the journey is rife with opportunities for wastage, from packing stages, where 20% of edible food can be thrown away due to minor defects, to the astounding 4.5 million tonnes of household food thrown away in the UK alone each year. This staggering amount of wasted produce adds billions of tonnes of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere yearly, as well as millions of tonnes of fertiliser and trillions of tonnes of water.?
