Singing up the Past

Today has finally come. After four years of development, negotiation, intercontinental communications, grant applications, travel, musical arrangements, intense filming and fundraising, Tim Slade and I will be sitting next to the wonderful Guta Goldstein at the Randwick Ritz, together with her family and friends and many others, as we watch Tim's brilliant depiction and imagination of the story of Guta's musical life and memory. I always believe in giving back to people you work with, be they interview subjects, work colleagues, anyone who has the generosity of spirit to give time, heart, intellect and appreciation. Guta's neshoma (soul) glows in this film, and her practice teaches us that an active engagement in music can provide psychological benefit as well as enriching your life. I think there may be a few tickets left to the screening tonight (6:30, Randwick Ritz) and Thursday 14th (6pm, Classic Cinemas Elsternwick).

4 个月Incredible documentary. I was captivated throughout her story and loved the creative way in which it was told. Thank you for making this amazing film that links memory, music and emotion together to weave an incredibly compelling, historical account.?
