Singing & Modelling in CHINA

Dear Friends,

After a quarterly break, I’ve decided to bring my Monthly Newsletter back as there have been some exciting things already this year and some wonderful plans for later in the year, which I wish to share with you.

Since I recently commenced learning Chinese Mandarin, and learnt a song in Chinese, I’ve had 3 Chinese singing gigs.

SINGING: Most significantly, my recent gig for Atlantis Shoes, who flew me to Xiamen Fujian to sing at the opening of their inaugural Fashion Show while spoiling me at the Intercontinental Hotel and then, along with my incredible assistant Bonnie, we travelled up to Hangzhou for a major photoshoot at the incredible MRegina (photos coming soon). Bonnie also helped me explore the remarkable Gulang Yu (Piano Island) in Xiamen and the breathtaking West Lake in Hangzhou.

I had the most phenomenal trip and surrounded by such wonderful people. This was truly an inspiring trip and I look forward to returning very soon.

My other 2 Chinese singing gigs were for Chinese New Year (one in Sydney and one in Melbourne while staying at the Crown Hotel). It was so nice to return to Melbourne and revisit some old haunts from when I was living there for a few months, a few years ago. Lots of amazing memories in this beautiful sister city to Sydney.

While in Melbourne it was so great to sit down with the incredible Alex of Arktika Vodka who was the major sponsor behind my last single, “All By Myself”. I’m so thankful and grateful for their support and contribution to help me record.

Other exciting events I’ve recently been part of was singing the National Anthem for the Loyal Foundation Gala Dinner and next week I’m opening for the Emerge Foundation Luncheon at the Westin Hotel. Two phenomenal charities which you can see more about on my socials.

Also, anyone who knows me, knows I LOVE Air Supply! So it was wonderful to catch up with my dear friend, Graham Russell at the Sydney Opera House the other week after their mind blowing concert from the VIP section. Happiness overload!

ACTING: In acting news, I just finished filming an amazingly fun, upbeat TVC Ad for Click Frenzy Travel which airs in August (so keep your eyes peeled). I loved working with the incredible Media Collective team, whom I had worked with on another project last year. Such a wonderful team.

I was a presenter for Makitso Product launch and I also filmed a great romantic Short Film called Eddyct recently, which I hope I can get my hands on some footage to share with you all sooner than later.

MODELLING: As mentioned earlier, I had a fun shoot in Hangzhou China for Atlantis Shoes when I was up there to sing at their inaugural fashion launch in Xiamen. I also did a great shoot with their local Sydney team down at Clovelly Beach, prior to flying to China. I have really enjoyed working with this wonderful company and the beautiful people involved and looking forward to a long and strong relationship while kicking high in comfy vegan shoes.

It was lovely to be invited to model for Nikon Cameras again, twice in the last few weeks in fact, for the launch of their new ZSeries lenses, plus modelling for Digital Camera Warehouse workshops and I had a Catwalk show earlier this year.

My bestie, Liilia and I have been motivating each other to get fitter and stronger, rather than allowing the cold, wintering weather which is creeping in, to dampen our spirits of health and happiness. The sunny days, we walk down the coast, and the grey days we do a Hiit circuit class at the gym. It’s so motivating doing regular exercise and eating clean, organic and fresh.

I hope this inspires you all to keep motivated, positive, healthy and happy.
