Recently some American Universities made a survey to find out why people donated large sums of money to them. In the end the donations were not given because the universities had the most beautiful buildings or the best research fascilities. The donations were given by the alumni because they remembered the lectors and professors who inspired them with their stories, imagination, knowledge and wisdom. Moments that shaped them and made them to what they are now.

One day it was raining cats and dog. On that day I made a cycling tour. I got a flat tire in the middle of a dark wood. Without tire repair many miles from home. Then a car stopped and a soldier got out. I told him I had a flat tire. He said that he had actually a tire repair in the car and he fixed my tire. This was amazing and I asked him how I ever could repay him. He said: "You can not repay me!" He got in his car and left.

In 1965 The Rolling Stones released The Singer Not The Song. Perhaps not their best piece of work but the title intrigued me from the moment I heard the song. I think the magic of the song is about the reversal. Not the song is good but they way you perform it. Not the helping of others is important but the way you do it. Educating people is not important but the way they remember it is. The person who actualy is doing something makes a difference in the life of others.

So thank you Mick Jagger and Keith Richards for this song. Thank you all teachers and professors who's names we still remember for inspiring us. And thank you my unknown soldier for fixing my flat tire.
