Diwan Chandiram Mukhtyarkar Talti is fined Rs.5000 and two years imprisonment, Pohomal Mukhtyarkar Laki is awarded fine of Rs.1000 and two years imprisonment, Jethmal Mukhtyarkar of Manjhand is awarded Rs.2000 fine and two years imprisonment and Hasoomal Mukhtyarkar of Petaro is awarded fine of Rs. 1000 and two years imprisonment. 1857: The war of independence (Mutiny as termed by British Government) is ended with fall of Delhi on 20th October. Kelat and other friendly states of British Government are happy. They offer their congratulation to the Commissioner of Sindh. 1894: Sindh Sabha presents Memorandum to the Viceroy of India who is on Sindh visit. In this Memorandum the attention of the Viceroy is invited to the backwardness of Sindh in Higher education. Pir Ghulam Mujadid Sarhandi is in chair and Government policy regarding Turkey and Khilafat is condemned at large. Pir Ghulam Ali Shah, the President of Conference and other speakers advise people to promote local industry. (Source: Newspapers). 1956: People are more to be kept away from agitation against One-Unit, hence Section 144 has to remain imposed.
