SIMPLY … FROM THE GUT! (PART X)

I can’t believe that it has already been one year since I started my own company. I am extremely grateful to my partners and customers who have helped me get?started, and I am looking forward to expanding on the success we achieved in 2021. It was indeed an exciting year and my experience was completely the opposite of all the fears and uncertainties I had in my mind when I began this journey. First of all, being unchained from the persona of an "Employee" in itself brought a sense of freedom. Secondly, not having to create weekly reports, attend sales meetings, update CRMs, or generate new pipelines allowed more time to focus on a granular set of activities and convert it into value.??

It was also exhilarating to not have the Sunday Scaries as every day seemed like a Saturday-I had consciously decided to only pursue activities that I was passionate about. My mornings would start with 45 minutes of breathing exercises followed by an hour of yoga with a global team set up by one of my friends. I developed a new interest in the stock market after reading numerous books and listening to podcasts. I was also trying my hand at day trading with modest success! I read over 50?books on a wide range of subjects from AI to Stoic philosophy in the last year, and gradually?becoming an expert at speed reading. I made ad hoc trips to Florida, California and New York. One of my favorite moments was watching 8?tennis matches at the US Open (Yes, I saw Emma Raducanu beating Bencic in the Quarter Finals on her way to the Championship!). I also found time to develop my spiritual pursuits by listening to learned gurus in this field and spending joyful moments with my grand-daughter. I’m also very proud of the de-energizing activities I eliminated such as checking FaceBook or binge-watching Netflix.?So, over all a very fulfilling year indeed.??

I am not making any new resolutions for 2022 and I must confess-I don’t really feel much excitement. It seems to me like just another weekend or rather another day!?
