App Releasing in 5 simple steps
Today we will discussing on App/service deployments- API with WCF Web role Service-Integration [it’s also applicable on any App service]
1. API/serviceEnvironment-AppA
Today we will discussing on App/service deployments- API with WCF Web role Service-Integration [it’s also applicable on any App service] which would be located in Protected cloud- Azure and is hosted under the subscription [directory-Directory : ABClogisxyzsinc.onmicrosoft.com 8abc12347c-1b0d-44bb-8524-e5f339zzzXXX ].
In this document we will unfold the deployment process from Dev environment to Azure under the resource group: TXX-ServicesGroup”.
2. Making Deployment Slots.
Once our App service environment is ready, We would be having ideal 3 different Slots [Dev., QA/Stage, Prod] in Azure as below, like wise –Slot QA is getting used for internal/ QA testing team.
These all slots are independents to each other and each will works as unique App service. Every Slot is kind of single Host url we can clone /copy from one slot to another or make a new slot.
3. Deployment process
Step- 1- Create App Service by using Subscription: Pay-As-You-Go / or as per your account TXX and (Resource Group: TXX-ServicesGroup)
For this as I have already done, please refer below just in case if it’s required to do new app service -----
Step -2 Download the Get Publish Profile of Same App Service / QA Slot / the particular host
Step -3 In Visual Studio use Publish > New Profile > Import the Same profile then submit.
Check the console: published successfully happened.
Step 4: Start /Restart the App service if it's already stopped or running.
Step 5: Test the Service Url with WCF client. Download it
These are the only 5 simple steps to follow for API/WCF/any service API deployments. Hope this post will be helpful for you. If you are facing any problem please connect to [email protected]
