Introducing Radius: The NEW Open Platform for Cloud-Native Applications.
Radius meets application teams where they are by supporting proven technologies like Kubernetes, existing infrastructure tools including Terraform and Bicep, and by integrating with existing continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) systems like GitHub Actions.
Many customers build higher-level abstractions over Kubernetes, mainly for compute, to deal with its shortcomings. Developers also discover that their applications need more than Kubernetes. Collaboration is essential for developers, platform engineers, and IT operators: enterprises have specialized roles like sec-ops, fin-ops, and cloud centers of excellence to handle the cloud complexity. Application developers have to interact with all of these roles, and the tools they use should facilitate, not hinder collaboration.
