Simplifying Complexity with Post-its

The news cycle and global events make it more challenging to write about something current before it becomes irrelevant or obsolete! Between AI developments, Social Media companies vying for market share, and socio-political changes, it is difficult to keep up with what is changing and how fast. Luckily there are some brilliant folks in my network who ensure that the most relevant changes that impact businesses are broken down into simpler forms for us normal folks to understand.
This actually gave me the idea of doing a Zoom Live event on Friday (yesterday) of making a Post-it together. We had a great turnout of very enthusiastic folks who created their own Post-its (or equivalent) to describe either their own processes or solutions to a problem that needed to be filtered into its basic and simplified structure.
Want to see the irony of how "AI-generated" images are tagged with "cr" (incorrectly)?
The actual image for this newsletter was almost entirely generated using MS Designer AI tools. On the other hand, the image for my LinkedIn event (just above) ONLY uses the background image that was taken from stock images on MS Designer (no AI). All other images and text were created manually. And yet, the "cr" button shows up on the Event image and not the Newsletter image. Go figure!!
This Week in Review
5K-A-Day challenge for February started last Sunday. It is still not too late to join in... it never is! My treadmill has decided that it will not cooperate with me on the incline (stuck on 0%, which is terrible for your knees) so since Wednesday, I am just doing 1.55 miles (2.5K) instead of the 5K. I figured adapting was better than abandoning the plan!!
Monday's post was about simplifying how international trade works. On Tuesday, the Returns on Cost as compared to ROI were discussed as a simpler manner of identifying if AI/digital subscriptions were worth purchasing. Wednesday was mostly just discussing the various uses of Post-its for ease-of-access. On Thursday, I highlighted the potential of Gen Z and discussed how previous generations have contributed to each subsequent generation's growth.
Every Friday, I try to make posts primarily for individuals who are seeking to grow in their careers by either finding a job or switching their jobs. #GetHired2025. This week's post was about "Just One Break" and FUND acronym to find work, grow your career, and expand your business. I created a tiny video and collage with all the Post-its for this week below. Hope you enjoy it!
DISCLAIMER: My daily Post-it series only presents a snapshot of the possibilities that are out there. They are not designed to be comprehensive solutions. For folks who want to implement models or data analysis or improve their own businesses using any of these concepts, I am only a DM away!
LinkedIn Observations for This Week
I am going to share some LinkedIn secrets (that are not actually secrets at all) with you.
4.1. Video content is ramping up big time on LinkedIn as Wally McCarthy has recently discussed in various posts and videos.
4.2. If you are not commenting on other people's posts, they may not have enough of a reason to be curious about your content either. Likes/Reactions are great when you are short on time, but if you can spare a few minutes, a short comment is better than none.

4.3. Communication is a two-way street. When someone leaves a comment on your post, it is essential to make some time to respond to that comment and acknowledge the additional effort that they have made to support your content.
Hope this week's LinkedIn observations help you in your journey on this platform!
Post-it Statistics Round-up For This Week
You can find #PostItStatistics on LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, and YouTube as well. I am going to phase out my Substack articles because they take up too much extra time to create.

1 周Breaking down complexity into manageable components is key to effective problem-solving, and Post-it notes offer a simple yet powerful way to achieve this. In the world of education technology and adaptive learning, where data-driven insights can often feel overwhelming, visual tools like these can help teams align on goals, identify patterns, and drive meaningful solutions. Great insights, Dr. Kruti Lehenbauer! How do you see this approach scaling in digital-first environments where collaboration happens asynchronously?

2 周Do you post any articles online? I think many of your posts could be articles on websites like medium, perhaps it could just be an extended version of your posts and your posts on LinkedIn would be a shorter version. No idea though, as you said managing 2 accounts on separate platforms is not easy!
