Simplify Your Offers, Supercharge Your Business

If you’re a coach promoting multiple offers to attract High Value clients, but not getting bites on your offers, there’s a reason for that.

Although it may seem like you’re providing people options to come in at their comfort level, multiple options is actually working against you.

“A confused mind says no.”

This is a phrase I state often to my clients when we discuss what their ask is for an offer. I didn’t originate it, but it has served me greatly over the years.

Instead of a providing multitude of options, extend one offer at a time. When you have posts and/or websites where there are lists of ways to follow, connect, and hire you, you are causing your audience to think more than they need to.

People have Decision Fatigue.

Every day is filled with questions concerning what they’ll eat, where they need to be, what is expected of them, what actions they have to take, who needs what from them, and if they remembered to turn off the stove when they left their house. Unless they are adept at mediation, which most aren’t, you can guarantee their brains are busy.

When you are extending an offer, your offer should be helping them quiet their brain. It should be an easy yes or an easy no to one thing that they already have an interest in.

If your offer requires them to learn something new, their brain creates inner chaos.

If your offer requires choosing between multiple options, their brain has been set on fire.

If your offer requires doing homework to understand your offer more, their brain is like that meme where Viola Davis grabs her purse, O-U-T.

If they do need to think further about making the yes easier, as in sourcing the investment or spousal agreement, ask questions to ensure they aren’t taking multiple factors into consideration. For instance, if they need to consider the timing, ask them what is it about the timing they need to consider. Isolate the specific concern so you can help them in the moment.

There are already a ton of coaching options out there causing your potential clients to spin in circles looking for the right coach to hire. Eliminate confusion and automatic nos by making your offer simple and clear. Help them with an easy yes to one thing instead of a confused no to everything.
