Simplify your life by simplifying your meetings.

If you’re like me, you probably attend several online meetings every day, and it doesn’t always feel like time well spent. It can seem like lots of talking and not enough action.

It’s true that some meetings don’t need to happen. Just send an email.

But in many other cases, those calls are actually important – whether they are sales calls, customer success calls, or even internal calls with colleagues. You never know when someone will share an important thought. A colleague might come up with a brilliant idea to grow the business, or a prospect could reveal why they’re reluctant to purchase.?

So if these meetings are important, how do you make sure that the information in the meeting actually gets captured, further explored and acted on? In the past, there were two ways, either committing the information to memory, or trying to take manual notes. Neither are great solutions.

Science says that memory is fallible, and reality shows that handwriting can be atrocious. That includes me. I often can’t decipher my own squiggles. I may have good intentions to rewrite my notes, but the next demand on my time makes that an impossibility. I tell myself that the notes are good enough. Nope! That call just evaporates into thin air.
