SIMPLIFY INNOVATION Using Three Steps By Focusing on 3Es - Empathy, Events, and Ecosystem-thinking, ECube (E power 3) Driven Innovation

Empathy, Customer Journey Map, Human Centric Design, Innovation

1. Empathy - Focus on your stakeholders and human emotions and identify below themes your stakeholders care most about

  • What drives them
  • What motivates them
  • What scares them
  • What makes them happy
  • What inspires them
  • What makes them feel they are needed
  • What gives them purpose and meaning for their life
  • What fulfills them

2. Events - Focus on events that supports above empathy-themes

3. Ecosystem -  Connect above events to provide life-changing transformation services and provide invaluable products by

  • Building platform oriented innovative solutions by
  • Identifying enablers (e.g. solutions, people, entities like companies or institutions or regulators, applications, data, technologies, etc.) that transcend typical solution constraints (cost, time, risk), cultural challenges, geo-political challenges, enterprise boundaries and technology limitations

Example 1: A young couple is expecting a baby in two months or three months

  • Empathy - Needless to say how many various human emotions the couple goes through to experience the arrival of the baby.
  • Events - Based on each human emotion, identify events that contribute to the overall positive experience and outcome the couple would like to result
  • Ecosystem - Build solutions that supports this young couple and the about to be born baby by providing:
  • Actionable information and guidance to the couple to welcome the baby to the world
  • Services to connect couple's finances and health benefits, health coverages
  • Services for different kinds of transportation needed
  • Useful guidance if anything does not go according to the plan
  • Suggestions for baby's wellness in terms of health, finances, etc.
  • Connections to health providers and nurses who had helped the couple before the birth and will help them and the baby after the birth

Example 2: An elderly person in 80s or 90s has no family to take care of her/him and no longer capable to care for herself/himself and needs care to live her/his life honorably before death and after

  • Empathy - Again needless to say what this person goes through or experiences (or last the ability to even to experience anything at all) but as humans we need to help each other to this person
  • Events - Numerous events that we can identify starting from the time this person wakes up in the morning to the time this person goes to bed
  • Ecosystem - Build solutions by bringing in any of the person's resources (e.g. will if it exists), connecting them to non-profit organizations, elderly care institutions, hospitals, health-care providers, government services, funeral service providers, etc.
