Simplicity is key

Crafting WordPress websites for mission-led, service-based businesses that blend strategy with stunning design
It's no secret that I love using WordPress to build websites, .
And I'm not alone.
According to W3Techs, 43% of the entire Internet currently uses WordPress to power their websites.
Let me tell you, that's billions of websites.
I've seen it get a bit of a bad rep in a few Facebook groups recently, small biz owners saying it's too complicated. They can't use it.
And you know what? Yes, it can be complicated. BUT only if you make it complicated.
Simplicity is key to keeping on top of any software you use in your business. Whether it's your website platform, your accounting software or even your email marketing system.
WordPress is the most used platform around because it's so versatile. There's almost nothing you can't do with a WordPress website, but often, that can be the problem.
Because you know that it CAN do everything, you want it to do it right from the start.
Rather than nailing the basics and building from a solid foundation you end up with a half working mishmash.
But there are a lot of benefits that outweigh this one con.
Low cost to entry
You could set up a WordPress website this after for less than £5 a month (plus the cost of a domain name which can be anything between £2-£20 for the year).
Every penny counts in those early days of business.

Plenty of free resources
Because it's such a popular platform, lots of people and small biz owners like me create free resources.
Very rarely when I've found myself googling have I come across a problem that no one else has had or posted a solution for.
Search engine optimisation
If you want new clients and customers to be able to find you online then you need to be thinking about search engine optimisation.
WordPress gives you full control over your content to help you get your keywords in the right places. You'll also find a load of plugins (apps) you can install on your site to help you with SEO too.
These are the main reasons I use WordPress for my client websites and why I’ve decided to create WordPress website templates. By selling expertly designed templates I can help more people have better designed websites for less.
If you want to get your hands on one of my templates before it launches publicly at a fraction of the launch cost, this is your last chance to register your interest.
You can use the images included with the template on your site, if you need them and I’ll link to your new site in my promo material when the shop launches too.
I could go on, but I'm going to stop right there because they're the benefits I think are most important for small business owners.

P.S. I'm still looking for testers for a website template from my shop before it launches next month.
Register your interest if you want to get it for a fraction of the public launch price.
