This is an abstract of a 2021 research on cars complexity conducted by OliverWyman called “THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE COMPLICATED. Dealing with car complexity”.?

TUC was born in 2018 having in mind the overcomplexity trend that was already high at the time and predicting the almost unmanageable evolution ahead. The concept behind TUC.technology development was very clear: “More with Less”.?

OliverWyman and other research highlighted how there were billions of possible configurations available in cars that, in many cases, sells few hundred thousand of units with a huge impact on costs at all levels throughout the chain, from Development to Sales and Aftersales.?

Even more impressive figures if compared to the most common Consumer Electronics devices, smartphones, where there are few tens of configuration options for many millions of units sold.?
