Mental health is simply how we feel, think and behave as a result of our emotional, psychological and social buildup from childhood through adulthood.
So, why are some people talking about mental health to the extent of dedicating a whole month to MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS?
This is because our mental health condition influences how we relate with not only ourselves but others. This means that, if the way you think, feel and act is messed up, it affects not only your well-being but also poses a threat to the safety of those around you. For instance, if you grow up in an environment where you have to work very hard to be recognized, you will grow up thinking everyone at your workplace is trying to steal your position. This in most cases will make you see your colleague as threats instead of team members.
Therefore, it is very important you measure your mental health and see where you are when it comes to your well-being so you will know where to heal and build for an enjoyable life experience.?
Life is actually not as hard as we’ve been wired to believe. I hope your eyes of understanding be open so you can truly live because the earth is the LORD’S and you are an heir to this heritage.
Until I write to you another time.????

1 年There's another very good reason to add to your list of good points. To focus and consider Mental Wellbeing for a month may contribute to reducing the stigma that surrounds mental health problems, and also reduce the sense of isolation felt by those so suffering.

1 年Everyone has moments when they have poor thoughts, feelings, and behavior...so NO ONE is mentally healthy, which is why we don't see progress. The noncontradictory definition of mental health is the ability to fix your own thought process. A healthy body is not one that never gets injured. It is one that can repair itself.
