Simples
David Amerland ????
Working on a new book. Can't tell you on what just yet, but I currently share snippets of the insights I gleam as I write.
A little knowledge is a dangerous thing . It tricks us into thinking we understand what we are doing and are in control of the consequences of our actions.
None of that is true. But the degree of untruthfulness that evidently arises changes from case to case. Context matters.
Basic principles are important.
The 'magic' lies in being able to understand what truly constitutes energy in the particular system you inhabit. If it's your business it's not always money, though money is always present in every commercial context. If it's your life it's not always possessions, though possessions are an indelible part of life for even the most minimalist and frugal people.
The moment you identify what it is that drives the system you're in, you have found the true limiting factor. Now you're better situated to understand what it is you have to do to either acquire more of it or get round it by achieving more within the strict boundaries it sets.
Simples.
Except it isn't. Which is why not everyone is doing it. And if everyone is not doing it, then you doing it gives you a competitive advantage. Simples. Now, it is.

3 个月The difficulty lies also in the manner businesses or individuals stick to simplicity. Ego can intervene and push us to do more, to think more, to evolve processes in order to give much more consistence to the system we are in. Yet by doing so we move away from the control we've got when dealing with simplicity.

3 个月I have for many years believed my boil it down to 'Simple' approach was lacking somehow. Yet, I came back to it time after time. I believe the more convoluted we make things the less likely we will ever TROOL-y understand them or utilize them to the max! So now to consider.. Simple plural!
