SIMPLE TIPS TO GROW YOUR BUSINESS AND SPREAD YOUR MESSAGE WITH A LOW BUDGET.


Usually when the budget is low we have to be very creative. But one of the most important things to achieve success is a great public relations strategy. As I always say, if people don′t see it they can′t buy it. You might have a great story to tell, but to really make sure that you get the word out and also the media interest requires a deep PR know-how. Of course, that takes some research, planning and hard work to develop a professional-level media outreach strategy to keep your communication on going and reaching out to your public. Here are some of the crucial steps to make your word spread out in a low budget basis.

-       Have the influencers on your side: Make friends with them. Connect with the people that are relevant for your business, either online or offline. Especially when you don′t have robust media lists, you will have to find out who are the appropriate outlets, influencers and reporters who cover your industry and market and build up a relationship with them. Try to maintain a regular communication so you can always be remembered and be kept in their radar.

-       Get the press attention: Refresh your message. Identify the key messages yor company wants to spread out and compare to the competition. This way you can find out your companies position and adjust the content if necessary. Have a calendar to keep messages well divided and try not to be repetitive. Remember that the press does not want a product or service advertisement, so try to figure out new angles of the story so you can sell the benefit and not the features.

-       Keep an eye on what′s going on: Seasonal trends are a way to improve your communication, so hook into them. If there is a special date for your company, like an anniversary, a recognition, a national cause that your company stands for, or a celebration occasion, you can create an infographic about it. Infographics are a great way to get attention.
