Simple and timeless

Simple well designed things are timeless.....whether it's furniture, my grandmother's rolling pin or a device. I was turning over a complicated client situation in my mind this weekend, and took a break to follow through on a promise to clean up some stuff in our shared home office (we are talking MBA materials from over 15 years ago). While doing that clean up - I came across this Knoster (1991) visual. It's amazing how timeless and relevant certain simple frameworks can be regardless of how complex the situation is.

9 年Thanks Shelley for taking us back in time to this simple and timeless truth. There's a reason we keep a few old things in our life, whether it's good furniture, good frameworks or good friends :-)

9 年You are right. Much too often we get caught in the weeds of jargon, methodologies, complex processes etc., when the answer is very likely simple and straight forward. Time, Budget, Scope - if one doesn't have control of any of those three elements, chances of executing a successful & profitable project are very low.
