Simple Steps to Refresh Your Website for the New Year

Simple Steps to Refresh Your Website for the New Year

Hey guys,

It’s two days before Christmas! Before I check out to enjoy the holiday with my family, I wanted to share some ways you can freshen up your website for 2025.

Once most people have a website, they tend to set it up and forget about it, which is the opposite of what we should do with it.

Creating a website is a one-time task. Keeping that website relevant is an ongoing task. You and your business are constantly evolving, and so should your website.?

If hiring someone to help you get your website together for 2025 is not within the budget, then you’re in luck. Set the time aside to help yourself.

Your website reflects your business and sets expectations for those who work with you. Make the path to working with you easy.

It's the most wonderful time of the year to freshen up your website!

Here are a few quick and effective steps to update your website:

Update Content:?

  • Review your website's primary pages and blog posts to ensure all information is current and relevant.?
  • Add or edit any new services or policies
  • Update any outdated statistics or details.
  • Ensure all contact info is listed and up to date.
  • Replace outdated or poor-quality images.
  • Don't forget about your About page.

Check Links:?

  • Go through your site and fix any broken links.
  • Check all pages to update any linked PDF forms.
  • If necessary, redirect broken links to a relevant page or update the URL to the correct destination.

Test Functionality:?

  • Conduct a quick audit of your website's functionality.?
  • Inspect each page to make sure things look correct.
  • Check forms, buttons, and navigation to ensure everything works as intended.
  • Make a list of issues to address and resolve.?

Focusing on these three elements can boost your online presence and instill the trust and security that visitors seek when deciding to work with you.
