A Simple (and No-Cost) Way to Improve Your Restaurant Profits TONIGHT!

There are, of course, lots of ways that you could increase your restaurant profits, but many of them will take time and money to put into action. Here's an idea though that can be put into action immediately - as soon as tonight - and won't cost you a penny...

You'll know from your costings that some of your dishes are more profitable than others.

So put simply - sell more of your most profitable menu items!

Even if the number of diners in your restaurant remains exactly the same, your profits will be higher because of the specific dishes that you have served.

How to sell more of your profitable items...

1. Tell people about them.

Diners can often struggle to decide between 50 to 100 tempting dishes on a menu, so why not help them to decide by recommending dishes that are the most profitable for you?

This could be as simple as mentioning the specific dishes to customers as an "I recommend the..." or as "this week's Chef's Specials are...".

If you have a specials board, then choose some of your profitable dishes to include on the board each week.

2. Your Menu

This may not be something you can do straight away today unless you print your own menus, but consider highlighting some of the profitable dishes on your menu.

This could be as simple as a box around specific dishes but will draw the eye to them and increase the chances that they will be chosen.

Alternatively, the dishes could be labelled "our favourites" or "highly recommended".

Similarly, if you print a sheet of Chef's Specials, then include some of these dishes on there.

These are all quick and easy things to implement but will increase your profits without any real effort.
