Mask wearing in the public has become a divisive and controversial topic for the entire nation. I don't know the source of this risk schematic diagram though a picture is worth a thousand words.
If you believe that liquid droplets are the primary transmission pathway of the coronavirus, then wearing mask plus social distance would bring he risk of transmission down to near zero for most peoples (excluding those in operating rooms or nursing homes higher risks situations). You don't need an MD degree to understand this!
Having a mask wearing mandate at a national level is such a simple and inexpensive idea! There will be less need for shutdowns, massive testing, and contact tracing which are expensive, more distasteful and intrusive.
