This Simple Mantra Helps You Get Past Where You're Stuck

You’re avoiding something, aren’t you??
How do I know?? Because almost everybody is!?
As a life coach, I work with folks on their goals ... the actions they need to take to reach those goals and what’s stopping them from taking those actions.? And guess what?
Almost everyone has something they just can’t bring themselves to do.? If you’re one of us, don’t beat yourself up.? It’s a human thing.
Yeah, it seems there are about as many different reasons to avoid doing what we know would be in our best interests as there are people on this planet.
Not exactly a revelation.? So why do I bring it up?
Because recently, I came across one simple statement that resonated so deeply with me that it helped me move past that “safe” place of inaction.
But before I get to that, let me make this whole action-avoidance thing concrete with a pretty trenchant example from my own life ...
I’m seeing a specialist with the goal of being able to mitigate my fairly severe allergy symptoms. ?I want to delight in my sweet little puppy without sniffling, sneezing, and having trouble breathing! ?
That specialist has strongly recommended I do Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) on a regular basis to help increase my blood oxygen levels. ?And since we’ve already invested in a chamber at home that Tom’s been using for years, it seems like a pretty simple recommendation to follow. ?
I don’t need to go anywhere ... except to my basement.? And I don’t have to pay hundreds of dollars for each treatment. ?A real win, yes?
NO!!
Our HBOT chamber fits one person and is shaped like a hot dog, affording ??little to no room to move around. ?You absolutely can’t sit up in it. ?
The thought of entering what I see as that tight, claustrophobic space fills me with dread. ?I’m not generally claustrophobic ... although my mother was severely so.? And I know this fear is totally irrational. ?But forget sweet reason.? It doesn’t help.
But then ... I heard the words that Dr. Joe Dispenza repeats to me in one of my favorite meditations …
Love yourself enough to do this!
There’s a lot of power in loving yourself enough to face down whatever demon is in front of you. ?
Those words have made it possible for me to meditate when I don’t necessarily want to ... something that required little more than a nudge.?

But they’ve even made it possible for me to get in that scary HBOT chamber.
So, I share all of this with you, my beloved readers, as a preamble to asking you three simple questions ...
1.?? What is it you have to love yourself enough to do?
2. Can you do this thing? ?The answer is YES! ?I know you can.? And ...
3. Do you think this mantra will help you to get past where you’re stuck?
It did for me. ?I really don’t love the idea of being in that “hot dog” for an hour of my time several times a week. ?But I do love myself enough to do it anyway!
And if it could help me do this really daunting thing, I’ll bet it’ll help you too.
