Today's edition of Winning business on LinkedIn is literally about the very topic that the newsletter was named after - what are some things you can change that will help you to win more business on LinkedIn?
I'm delighted to be able to share with you some insights from LinkedIn experts Angus Grady , Jeff Young and Petra Fisher in this latest edition.
The secrets include having processes that work for you - and dialing back on how much you push to make a sale and instead focus on starting conversations and getting small wins from your presence here (such as getting prospects onto a call). So let's dive in...
Effective Follow-Up With New Connections
?? Do you have a checklist for following up with new connections you get on LinkedIn?
That maybe sounds a bit too rigid and formulaic!
... but in our chat with Angus Grady we got an understanding of how he follows up with new connections. As with many things on social media, finding an approach that works for you and then repeating what's working is often the key to success. But as Angus says, inject some personality and go above and beyond the lazy follow-ups you no doubt receive from many on the platform.

Effective Outreach and Lead Generation on LinkedIn
How can you do effective outreach and lead generation on LinkedIn?... and how do organic efforts and paid ad campaigns compare? Are paid campaigns even a viable option for small businesses?
That was one topic area we focused on when I spoke with Jeff Young. Are you surprised by the answers?
How To Generate Enquiries and Win Business Through LinkedIn?
Can you get results for your type of business on LinkedIn...
... or is there something unique about your sector that means it just can't work for you?
This is a topic we explored with Petra Fisher. One of the key bits of advice that emerged is to make sure you weave in some of your personality and expertise in what you share. Both in what you post about yourself, but also in what you choose to comment on too.
Also key to success when you're trying to sell is to actually dial back how much you try to sell! The reality is that the more you focus on starting conversations and getting small wins like meeting someone, the greater the sales you'll actually end up making on LinkedIn!
I hope this selection of ideas and expert input really helps you to generate more interest from prospective clients on LinkedIn. As always, I’d welcome your thoughts - and?please do add a comment if you think others in your network would find this helpful (or if there’s anything you’d like us to clarify).
P.S. be sure to subscribe for the next monthly edition if you aren't already a subscriber.
