A simple guide to ace your copywriting skills. (Learn copywriting in less than 10mins)

Truth be told, Copywriting may seem simple but isn't easy.

But once you learn the art and master it, it becomes fun and enjoyable.

Here, I got you covered on how to ace your copywriting skills.

Ready? Let's dive in!

??Make it easy for your audience to pay attention

The first step to writing persuasive copy is to show your audience why they should pay attention.

If you don’t capture their attention, your copy will go unread.

The simplest way to capture attention is to ensure your headline addresses a problem that your audience is facing.

Write a headline that addresses their most dominant problems or emotions.

Show the biggest benefit they can stand to gain. Like on this post (learn copywriting in less than 10min)

Next, show them that you really understand their problems and what they are going through.

-Talk about your audiences' frustrations.

-Make them feel the pain, also show that you (get it).

-This builds trust and shows that you really understand.

You want to get your audience nodding and say Yes, here's the help I need!

??Give your audience a reason to believe you

This is the part where you inject some proof into your copy.

Proof is one of the most important elements in persuasion.

-Without proof, nobody believes you.

-And when nobody believes you, nobody buys.

Inserting proof doesn’t have to be long and complicated.

A simple testimonial or even better a screenshot will get the job done.

??Help your audience know how your product can solve their problems and why it’s the best solution

That’s why before you make your claim that you can help them. First show them that they can trust you.

When you first insert proof, your claim becomes more believable.

For example: In my "About Section" I claim to help your content reach an average of 2k+ people on a daily basis.

I have achieved this on my profile, so it's something I can validate.

List out your product benefits, not features. In a compelling style i.e. bullets.

Bullets are fantastic ways of persuading your audience since you can easily scan through.

Then:

-Sell experiences

-Paint a picture and create visual images in their mind.

-By asking them to imagine the experience they will get when they own your product.

Think of ways to link your product to emotions like:

-Freedom

-Confidence

-Relief from pain

??Give your audience a reason to act now

Life gets busy, people have a lot to do. They don't need to act now.

- (I can probably decide later)

-Then, click away from your page

-And never return.

-Sale lost! Game over!

Give the reader a compelling reason to act now. Here are a few ways you can achieve this:

A) Create scarcity:

-Is your product limited in amount?

-Are you running a special discount?

If so, emphasize it, scarcity does sell.

B) Tell them what they lose out on If they don’t order your product now:

For example:

-If you’re selling an education product.

-Tell your audience they’ll lose out on improving their grades as quickly as possible.

-Which is bad because the test date is getting closer each day.

C) Provide a money back guarantee:

This helps reduce risk for your audience. -If you do provide a money back guarantee, emphasize it and show how they have nothing to lose.

P.S. Every week, I got some fresh cherry (content) to help you nurture and grow your brand on social media. Don't miss out!
