Simple but not easy

In life, we often encounter situations that are simple but not easy. They may be easy to understand (simple) but require a significant amount of effort or skill to execute (not easy). There are various aspects of life which are like this whether it’s our personal growth, relationship or professional endeavors.
Personal growth
When it comes to your personal growth, it’s something quite simple to understand, but far from being easy to do. All you need to do is eat health, , work out regularly, read a book in a month, put in some work and take a step after another each day. Sounds simple right but doing this is far from being easy, just eating healthy is a hassle, the food doesn’t taste good compared to junk food, working out is exhausting and books are boring. It takes a lot of skill and effort to do something this simple
Relationships
When it comes to relationships as well, the principles of good relationships are simple; good communication, respect, trust and understanding. I am sure to a certain extent we can all do these but what eventually happens is miscommunication, trust is lost by accident and misunderstandings of all sorts enter into the relationship despite your will to make things work and your adherence to these principles. Even though this is something simple to do, it is not easy.
Professional endeavors
Another example will be in your professional career, you might know how to do something which will be simple to you, but that doesn’t mean you can do it easily. Doing photocopies is quite simple, but doing it for everybody in a company is definitely not an easy task.

What’s my point?
The point I am trying to make here is that in your life things might seem simple, but you have to realize that it doesn’t imply they are easy to do. Questions like, why don’t we solve homelessness, poverty, famine? Why isn’t there peace, opportunities, wealthy? Why is there jealousy, envy, strife? etc Even thought these things might seem simple, maybe fixing famine is just by giving food to everybody or for peace we just need to all agree, they might be simple, but they are far from being easy to do.
On a global scale that is what it is but now when it comes to your personal life, how will this apply? In your relationships, you’ve often had rifts maybe because the problem seemed simple to you to resolve so you assumed it was going to be easy, in your professional life, you thought to yourself It’s simple to apply for a job, all I have to do is send my CV, so you underestimated the difficulty. In your bid for a healthier lifestyle, you try to eat healthy and avoid junk food, but you always end up relapsing.
This is a problem because you approach those situations with a relaxed mind thinking they are simple so you don’t need to overthink them or go hard, and that’s eventually what makes you fail.
Conclusion
You will have to learn how to know the difference between an easy task and a difficult one and not be fooled by its simplicity. Moving a cup from point a to b might seem simple, but you have to evaluate each task on the basis of your skill and the work needed to be done, not just the simplicity of the task ahead, else your mind will underestimate the problem, and you’ll eventually give up all together.
