A Simple 4 Question Review for Getting Back on Track

Reviews aren’t just for performance reviews with your manager or team.?

Structured reviews (or reflections) can offer insights into your progress towards your goals, highlight areas where you can make some tweaks and reinforce what works for you and what doesn’t.

I schedule time into my calendar to reflect and review on my business progress as well as my life goals, so that I can celebrate what I have accomplished (even if it’s not the end goal yet) as well as make sure my goals are still relevant to what I want to create in my life.

This doesn’t need to be a multiple hour long affair where you do a stocktake of all aspects of your life and dive into the nitty gritty either (I know you’re busy), but simply 30 minutes to an hour to assess what your last 3-6 months have been like.

Since we’re quickly approaching the middle of the year, this is a perfect time to look back at the goals you set yourself earlier in the year and reset for the rest of the year feeling energised and on track.

Here’s 4 questions I always start with when I’m reviewing that I encourage you to start with:

1. How do I feel? Or in general, how have I been feeling over the last three to six months?

2. What have I learned over this period?

3. What am I celebrating? And bonus points for how you're going to celebrate and then actually doing that?

4.? What did you learn from this past season? And what are you going to do the same? What are you going to start doing and what are you going to stop doing?
