Silver Medal Power!
Alison Kenyon
Creating bespoke artworks for interior designers, curators, and art enthusiasts.
So... I painted my heart out on Skin Wars, and made it to second place!
Here I am, presenting my final piece-- an 8' x 8' backdrop with one camouflaged model and one "focal point" model, painted in 10 hours.
(After doing this, I don't think anything can ever stress me out again! LOL)
It's been a powerful transformative journey!
I kept my heart open, unguarded, and un-jaded, and allowed myself to fully experience every moment- even the stressful and painful ones.
Like being away from my family and my little 4 year old boy for SIX WEEKS- without any contact. No email, Skype, or phone calls.
It's not easy to be so raw and vulnerable in front of 14 million TV viewers!
But I don't think I would have "touched the divine" the way I did if I had shielded my heart. I got to feel a greater power moving THROUGH me- and I hope I can keep that connection open now that shooting is over.
I am so proud of my fellow competitors, and especially Rick Uribe- the Season 3 Skin Wars Champion- only 20 years old!
I'm proud of my "silver medal", and the art work I put forward week after week.
I gave all of myself.

8 年Fantastic Alison!!! Beautiful work... I thought you should have won gold, but it sounds like you have taken away something golden, anyway. We're all looking forward to hearing more about it in 2 weeks... see you soon.
