When Joakim gets to talk about what is the best thing about working at Bilfinger Engineering & Projects, he mentions the great responsibility you get in trust and the colleagues who are there to support you. He finds his job to be much more fun and varied than he thought it would be when he started. The silver lining is the breadth of tasks he gets to work on and not being limited and controlled.

"It means that I am constantly developing and learning new things!" says Joakim.

Right now, Joakim is working on developing a safe platform on a processing line for a customer in the heavy steel industry.

"The challenge is that it should be able to be used during operation and at the same time make the work safer on the line. The most enjoyable part of the task is that I contribute to a safer working environment for the customer's employees."

Why did you choose to become a mechanical engineer?

"I wanted to work with the combination of problem solving, technology and calculations. I have always liked solving problems – and I really get the opportunity to do that in my role today!” says Joakim happily.
