I'm sorry.
I'm sorry that I have to be the person to tell you this, because I don't like to be the purveyor of bad news.
I wish it wasn't true - in fact it would be wonderful if it wasn't true.
But it is true.
There Is No Silver Bullet Shortcut To Marketing.
There is no 'one thing' that some guru will tell you that will suddenly make it all make sense.
There is no quick-win 'formula'.
There is no one who can do it for you (unless your budget is VERY big).
Consuming one more webinar won't make everything click.
Another 5-day challenge won't mean that you'll suddenly see through the fog.
There's no downloadable PDF, or e-book, or checklist, or even white paper that will give you the clarity you crave.
The answer, the only answer is that you have to do the work.
You are not a 'special case'.
You're the same as every other coach out there and that means....
You have to sit down and do the damn work yourself.
Maddening!
It's frustrating - I know.
It doesn't feel fair - I know.
You don't really want to - I know.
It's not your cup of tea - I know.
But....
You want to coach.
You're passionate about it.
You know it transforms lives, because yours was transformed.
You know you can help people, and you really want to help people.
But you can't help people if you can't find clients, can you?
What Is The Work You Need To Do?
It's very simple - which doesn't mean easy of course.
You have to do three things.
- Figure out who will benefit the most from being coached by you (and who can afford to pay you a professional rate).
- Craft a marketing message that speaks directly to that kind of client, describing to them what they'll get from working with you.
- Find out where that kind of client hangs out, on and offline, and be there too.
That's it.
If It's Simple, Why Haven't You Done It Already?
It's a simple process, but the work to put it in place is complex.
It completely contradicts what we believe to be true about marketing (no, despite your gut feeling, you mustn't cast you net wide!)
It's hard to do it on your own.
If it was easy to do on your own, then 82% of coaching businesses wouldn't fail, would they?
Should we talk? This is my diary.
