We evolved to survive, and without that need; we stopped evolving

UBI and AI are the Buzz words nowadays, it is sometimes irritating to read articles or hear one of the unicorn tech companies' CEOs preaching about them, without looking at the real picture and laughing!

Let me take a step back and elaborate, As an Egyptian 'not so white', I passed all kind of processes in anything I do, from getting residency to simply opening a bank account.

Let's count how many unnecessary jobs currently exist, that can be easily replaced with a simple App or a web page? Have you ever imagined a world where you don't need to go to issue a passport? just upload documents digitally signed online and get it transferred to you? Have you imagined going into airport, scanning passport, visa on a machine? it is way harder to deceive machines with forged documents than deceiving a human officer sitting behind a counter, it is easy to share Data bases by citizen IDs without personal information 'unless necessary to check them' than actually checking that person's personal info in front of everyone. Millions and Millions of jobs, can be replaced by Apps not even by AI that we keep hearing about!

So, it is romantic to think of AI replacing unnecessary jobs, while we still keep jobs that a simple 'Stupid' machine can replace.
