Silicone 3D printing is reshaping industries

Lynxter‘s 3D printers?(S600D and S300X - LIQ21 | LIQ11) enable the printing of industrial and medical-grade?(certified skin-contact) silicones and polyurethanes that are both easy to use and offer high-performance characteristics, including heat resistance, chemical resistance, flexibility and elasticity.

All these advantages position silicone and PU as versatile materials which are suitable for a wide range of applications. Printed parts are thus well-suited to demanding environments and exhibit excellent mechanical , thermal and chemical properties. In summary, it is possible to produce robust and functional parts directly from the printer in materials that were previously not available in additive manufacturing.

Product Showcase - Viking Extrusions Ltd

Viking Extrusions are pleased to announce a brand new material grade called VGPECO. This is a biomethanol-based silicone rubber compound?that comes available in a variety of hardness values from 20 - 80 Shore A.

During the Silicone rubber manufacturing process the most important raw materials are silicon and methanol.

In this product, the petrochemical?based methanol is replaced by?the?plant based biomoethonal making this a far more sustainable option. When coupled with our non-halogenated revised

catalyst we are able to produce a cleaner elastomer that is free from harmful halogen byproducts without compromising material performance.

This is a huge leap forward in the quest for more sustainable manufacturing practices. Our VGPECO Range matches our Standard VGP range specifications.
