Silent Communication or silenced communication
Many Indians have been facing this transformation on roads for last few years. With increasing traffic in many cities and roads becoming one way or the U-Turn the driver has to take is far way. But the police communication hasn’t been clear in this case. There have been no alerts, reminders or alarm raised. Because the sole purpose of communications is to keep hammering in so that it gets registered. But in this it is a BIG NO.
As Indians we need to find out who is the first person who did this first which was ignored by the cops due to which this has become a habitual regular fault or a norm of many across cities and I give credit to silent communication or silenced communication. Why because the one who started this has triggered a ripple effect that has become a “silent communication” model for communicators. What was done “silently” has become a norm or habit which even the Police is unable to address or manage. Even the ministry of transport hasn’t been able to find a solution to this which is causing large scale havoc that leads to deaths and in many cases lifelong disability & sufferings to family members.
Now let me highlight the disadvantages of doing this act which is also against the prevailing laws of the nation in this context.
Driving in the opposite direction on a one-way road, also known as wrong-way driving, is extremely dangerous and illegal. It poses significant risks not only to the driver going the wrong way but also to other road users. Here are some of the most serious risks associated with driving opposite on one-way roads:
Head-on collisions: The most significant risk is a head-on collision with vehicles traveling in the correct direction. These types of collisions are often severe and can result in catastrophic injuries or fatalities.
Reduced reaction time: Other drivers on the road may not expect or anticipate a wrong-way vehicle, reducing their reaction time to avoid a potential collision.
Confused drivers: Drivers on the correct side of the road may be taken by surprise and not know how to react when they encounter a wrong-way driver, leading to potential erratic behavior.
Increased speed differential: The speed difference between a wrong-way vehicle and those traveling in the correct direction can be significant, making it challenging to avoid an accident.
Lack of proper road signage: One-way roads typically have clear and visible signage indicating their direction. A wrong-way driver may miss or ignore these signs, leading to the dangerous situation.
Impaired and distracted driving: Wrong-way driving is more common among drivers who are impaired (e.g., under the influence of alcohol or drugs) or distracted, making the situation even more hazardous.
Limited escape routes: One-way roads often have barriers or structures on the sides, limiting the options for wrong-way drivers to correct their course and get back on the right track.
Potential legal consequences: In addition to the obvious safety risks, wrong-way driving is illegal and can result in hefty fines, license suspension, or even criminal charges in some cases.
To avoid driving the wrong way on one-way roads, follow these safety tips:
