Neither had eyes seen nor the story been told
Feet so fast he’d leave the speed of light in the cold
Cloaked as always no one saw him coming
A few did see him enter the city, but he was quick to leave them in his wake
Dawn slowly turns to dusk as he patiently bides his time
He downs his last ale as he looks on at the splendour of the city
The sound of music blaring loudly as the ambience glisten in festivity
If only the residents knew that an enemy was lurking around to disturb their serenity
Far and near, countless thousands had embarked on this journey
Never knowing they would be carried on a gurney
What seemed a quick visit has now turned to a permanent stay
Days have turned to weeks and months, but the menace on your face is no child’s play
Dear faceless enemy!
The world over is left in ruins by your invincible army
Not being fazed by the titles, fame and money
Young or old, none is exempted from your touch of agony
The world we used to know now seem a distant memory
No rush hours, bustle nor frenzy that is the default of our culture
Staying at home now has value, it has become priceless
A beautiful life irony none the less
With our faceless enemy getting ever stronger like the Night King
We have all become soldiers on guard with our weapons of social responsibility
Armed to the teeth with washing our hands with soaps and water, staying home and saving lives
Giving our heroes and heroines in the front line a chance to salvage what’s left of this silent city
