In the Silence of Submission
In the dance of vulnerability,
?I’ve laid bare my soul to thee,?
Yet it seems my efforts fall astray,?
In the shadows where your heart holds sway.
Is it your fault, or mine, or neither??
A wounded soul, longing to be seen,?
Yet love eludes, like mist in the ether,?
For your heart remains closed, unseen.
Your pain, a magnet, drew me near,?
In its grip, I found my fears,?
But now I’ve found kindness, compassion’s embrace,?
And know the difference of love’s grace.
Some part of you, I know, can see,?
The path to where we both could be,?
But buried deep, beneath the weight,?
It’s hard to love one who flees from fate.
In your flight, you find your solace,?
Yet in stillness lies our promise,?
For love, it blooms where roots find ground,?
Not in fleeting steps, but in hearts unbound.
So here I stand, amidst the storm,?
Hoping someday, you’ll transform,?
From one who runs, to one who stays,?
In love’s gentle, enduring embrace.
